The process included a phone screen with the recruiter, a call with the hiring manager, and a peer interview. Everyone I spoke with was professional and courteous.
However, I was surprised by the feedback I received. Despite my experience in modernizing HR analytics functions, I was told that I might be overqualified for the current state of their systems, which are still heavily reliant on manual Excel-based processes. I had hoped my background in automation and advanced analytics would be seen as an asset, especially for a company that positions itself as a provider of technical and strategic expertise. It seems the role may not yet be ready for the kind of transformation.
