I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at JCPenney (San Angelo, TX) in Sep 2013
Interview
It was a group interview of about 6 people. We had to answer questions individually and then present a project idea as a group. They were very friendly and courteous and started off with getting to know every candidate individually and where they were from, etc. then they proceeded to ask questions and we answered them one by one. and the process continued like that until they introduced the group assignment afterwards. they explained the project and then left the room to give us time to prepare. when they came back they asked us to choose one person to speak for the group on which idea we chose and why.

Question 1
If JCP could add anything to help the customer experience what would it be?
It was fairly straightforward and easy. The woman I interviewed with was nice and not very intimidating. They took about a week to get back with me about an interview after I applied for the position.

Interview
I was contacted by email about my application. Contacted HR Supervisor and scheduled an interview date and time. Met with HR the next day for an in person interview. Very informative conversation with HR Supervisor.
Very efficient and the interviewer was very nice and gave me a lot of time to answer questions. The questions were not hard and they were very manageable. It was more so a discussion rather than an interview.
