I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JCPenney (McMinnville, TN) in Sep 2011
Interview
The hiring and interview process was very straightforward and simple. I applied, got called, set a time and date, and went in. The interview itself was comfortable and friendly. The manager introduced him self, asked some questions about my past work history, then began explaining what the job duties were for the job I applied for. When he finished he asked if I had questions or comments. i responded with a few about salary, hours, and advancement within the company. He answered all questions easily. Once the interview was over he informed me he had others to interview and I would be called, and 3 days later I was called.
