Very slow process (over 4 months). Went through four rounds of interviews within that time, about 8 employees total. Did the expected thank you letters, no response (which is fine), but was in the dark most of the process and must have been a final candidate. Invested significant time and energy into this, only to receive a generic decline email. At this level, you would expect at least a phone call. I would say the overall experience was disappointing. Although, likely dodged a bullet because others on here have noted similar experiences, leading me to believe that hiring for critical roles takes too long and would unnecessarily burned the team in the interim. Possibly leading to additional headcount loss and chasing my tail. The questions themselves were nothing outside the norm and any generic preparation would do fine.
