I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Jacobs (Glasgow, Scotland) in Mar 2016
Interview
Applied online through their website. I was notified that I had passed the screening stage after about two months, and was asked to choose my preferred location. Within a month of doing so, I was notified that I was unsuccessful, but that they would keep my details on file. I then received a phone call roughly a month later, notifying me that an opening had arisen in Glasgow, and I was invited to attend an interview.
The interview lasted about an hour and a half in total, and was rather casual but followed a procedure. The panel consisted of three individuals who were very friendly and courteous, and even tried to clarify some of the more difficult questions. Most of which were competency based, but were followed by some technical questions pertaining to the role. I was also asked to write a letter toward the end, so as to demonstrate my writing style.
