I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Jane Street (New York, NY) in Nov 2025
Interview
Process was smooth, recruiters have been extremely helpful. Major focus on EV games with dice, probability foundation needs to be good. Extremely quick while replying, if you are to get selected for the next round - expect the response by the next day of the interview or day after. If it's been longer and you haven't heard anything yet, you probably didn't make it.

Question 1
EV Game Questions with Dice - Open Ended to an extent and initial online rounds are similar to the mock interview online.
The interview was very disappointing. This was my 3rd round with the firm, the interviewer barely cared about my solutoin, was yawning, disinterested for some reason. So, yeah it was a pretty bad experience and no!! I was not doing stupid stuff in the interview it was just a bad day i believe. The question that they asked was about 10 cards on a deck and by the end they were able to make it a multiplayer game where you had to think of a winning strategy with x red and 10-x blue cards.

They asked mostly probability and game theory questions. On-site consisted of a lot of betting games. Very collaborative experience when working on through questions. Overall I enjoyed the the interview experience.

Question 1
First question was on dice rolling, you get one dollar if your roll is higher than your opponent then you win nothing otherwise.
Final round consisted of five rounds in person. Standard market making game on sum of 4 cards with side bet for arbitrage (40 card deck), then one coding (simple, not leetcode esque), then one data analysis, and two more math/trading esque games
