      Systems Support Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Jane Street

      Interview

Long and drawn out...phone interview, followed by another phone interview, followed by a "create a script that does xyz" followed by a marathon of onsite interviews. I had to pressure my recruiter to pressure them because they would stop responding to emails etc. with further steps. I felt I did well but the last two folks I interviewed with seemed bored and disinterested. I take it they had already made their hiring decision before meeting me, which is fine, just upsetting to be expected to interview with six different people AND have a take home scripting test. In the future, don't waste prospects time jumping through hoops of fire, asking for sample scripts, etc. and then disconnect. Do a round or two of interviews, maybe compact everything in one day.

      Question 1

I was asked to open Excel, to which a weird pop up would show up saying that a particular macro file was missing.
