Interview
They want preps, straight-edge and hardworking. Clean cut looking good kids who will do exactly what they say. There is a group interview with questionaire, a personal interview, and an essay prompt about why you will make a good candidate.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jimmy John's
Interview
In person interview to start after you apply through a referral (it's usually just an email, no online application). It ends up being a group interview first where they test you on JJ basics and then watch how you interact with the other candidates during a 'sample eating' time. It's more of an information session than an interview. Then, if they like how you look and act you get asked back for a one on one. If the interview wraps up well you will get a drug test and then will hear back in a week if you got the job or not.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What's something on your bucket list? What is your spirit animal and why?
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Jimmy John's (Champaign, IL) in Mar 2013
Interview
It was very casual and laid back. It felt more like a conversation and the interviewers were just trying to get to know me rather than asking so many typical interview questions.
