1. HR phone screening (15 min) - Basically, the recruiter and you will determine whether or not the job is a good fit for both of you before moving onto the formal interview with the hiring manager. You will discuss skills, pay rate, and work responsibilities.
2. Video interview with Hiring Manager (50 min) - For this part, you will discuss the job more in depth to understand what your role is at the company. Every interview is different. For mine, we discussed the account and projects I will be a part of if I was hired and what the responsibilities are. We talked about my skills and knowledge and how it pertains to the job. This is where you show how you can be of value.
3. Phone interview with Hiring Manager (10 min) - This portion was scheduled for 30 minutes, but it was a brief call to discuss the role again and then I was offered the job. We talked about the salary and my expectations.
4. Pay negotiation (2-3 days) - After the last interview, the hiring manager took a couple of days to review my pay request with HR. They called me back a couple days letter to offer the job with my pay request and I accepted the offer.
The interview process was about 1-2 weeks. Fairly quick, in my opinion.
The hiring process took a bit longer, about 3-4 weeks, since I had to complete several steps in order to be officially in the system - background check for the company and for the client, some onboarding items, and drug screening. However, they already gave me a start date so as long as the steps were completed efficiently, the start date is pretty confirmed.
Everyone involved with the interview and hiring process, especially the hiring manager, was communicative, friendly, and responsive. They were also informational and always followed up with a status update.
Overall, it was a professional and great experience.
