Had a phone screen to discuss my resume and experience. The following day had to do an excel test to make sure my skills were up to par. Then had a 2 hour interview with 4 people in management positions.

Interview
I am basically a technical lead and was chosen for the data manager role by the company themselves and interviewed (including face to face) by five different stock holders under a span of a month and a half. On each level I was taken further with a positive review and I was even given confidence that I am done and will be offered. After being interviewed on my career background and a technical evaluation by the fifth stock holder, I was told that though I am technically sound, but I do not have management experience. If management background is what expected, then why will you choose my CV in the first place?
