I recently had a very disorganized and disappointing interview experience at JLL, Norwich, UK. I applied for an Operational Accountant role based on the job description provided.
The recruiter invited me for an interview with the Director of Operations and the Team Leader, giving me a week's notice to prepare.
While preparing for the interview, I checked Workday and discovered a Credit Controller role with the same job description as the Operational Accountant role I had applied for. It became apparent that I had technically applied for the Credit Controller position but was invited to interview for the Operational Accountant role. When I reached out to the recruiter and hiring managers to clarify this, I received no response.
Despite this confusion, I did my best to prepare and attend the interview. During the interview, I raised the issue, but it was met with silence. Overall, the interview went well, and the hiring manager assured me that I would receive feedback within two working days. However, I have yet to hear back. I followed up with multiple emails to the recruiter, but once again, I have been completely ignored.
This is not the first time I have encountered such unprofessionalism at JLL Norwich. I have applied for several roles with them in the past, and each time, the experience has been consistently disappointing. I would not apply to or recommend this company to anyone. In a way, I feel happy not to be working at such a company which lacks transparency and professionalism.
