TLDR: Went through a 6 week interview process, really loved the team, but leadership pulled the role during the offer stage when it went for approval.
The process:
Recruiter phone screen -> hiring manager & peer interview (2) -> colleagues interview (2) -> presentation to the panel you interviewed with previously -> meeting with VP of Payments & Tax
Overall, the people at Justworks are super friendly and you can feel that there is great culture. The interviews are mostly behavioral in nature as they are gaging fit. The team moves pretty fast after each interview in scheduling the next one.
This is one of those places where you can tell people like working with each other and enjoy what they do.
Got to the final offer stage and went through background check with Checkr and had one more meeting with the hiring manager where she gave me the chance to ask questions. Then, connected with the recruiter to discuss compensation. After that, waited around 1 day to hear back with frequent updates from the recruiter. Then the next morning, received a final update from the recruiter saying that leadership has decided to cut back on hiring for this role.
