I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Kabbage
Interview
I appeared for a position in their newly setup Bangalore office. The process lasted 3 rounds.
First round : The HR called to discuss about the role, my experience current salary and expected hike.
Second Round : With the head of analytics, we discussed about my current role and was asked about my work ex and past projects.
Third round : with the head of strategy, similar to first round and it included some ridiculousdly simple questions about credit risk. The person didn't sound much confident or clear when asked about the current risk analytics setup of kabbage in detail.
I was pretty confident that I had done well in the interview process.
After this I waited for a week to get an answer, finally lost patience and contacted the HR myself, to my surprise, I was told that they wont be able to extend me an offer because the maximum salary package they can offer is almost the same as my current package.
First of all, why was I made to appear for the interview process when they knew they wont be able to match my expectation in terms of my salary (which was clearly discussed in the first round itself).
Second of all, I am well aware that employees in a position, role and experience similar to mine are already being paid ad much as or even higher that what I had asked for, then why was I lied to?
This process left a wrong impression on me and I hope the HR and senior leaderdhip takes note of this.
