Well one word summary for the entire process would be "Awesome".
Now lets dive into the details.
So, I applied online to S/w engineering intern role through indeed and I got a reply from their senior recruiter just a couple of days later asking me to have a chat regarding the position. She called up at the scheduled time and we had a very good initial conversation where she briefly explained me about the process and teams. She was upfront with the hourly pay and housing situation which I liked. Then she gave me a very easy screening question (programming language of your choice) and I did it real fast and we were done for that phone call. She told me she would get back to me and I thought to myself, I guess its gonna take long. But, she got back real soon with the next step of technical phone interview with one of their software developers. The technical phone interview went really well and I was asked a lot about the projects that I have done previously and my skills. Overall the technical phone interview was more about my background and experience and this person was very kind and friendly. After the phone interview, which went amazingly well, I was expecting a call from their recruiter. She replied around 2 days later stating that I have been forwarded to a white board kind of team interview with their teams. Now, this is where things got interesting. This interview was the longest for about 2 hours with 2 teams back to back. The first team asked me a few questions about C++ initially and then give me white board problem related to strings and binary tree operations. Overall, the difficulty of questions were fine probably because I am too comfortable with data structures and algorithms. After this fantastic and fun interview I was immediately put on call with the other team. I guess these were the head people because the person I was talking to seemed kind of elderly. This interview was more related to front end and database technologies and he gave me use case and asked me to come up with a solution and all the technologies that you would use to provide solution for that. By the way if I didn't mention, the first team interview was on video conferencing interview and the second one was on call. Finally, after both the interviews, which went really well, the recruiter mailed me saying that she got a very good feedback from both the teams but they are still in process of interviewing other candidates, so they would get back to me in some time. After nearly a couple of weeks, I got her mail saying that I have been forwarded for a final interview with their Head of PeoplOps. This interview was more of a HR kind of interview in which they wanted to know more about me so as to determine if I would be a good fit for company's environment or not. I guess I impressed her with my words because the next thing I remember was a mail from Kabbage stating that I have been offered Software Engineer Intern role. This happened just this moth's end and I am yet to stat my internship from this summer. Overall, a long process but indeed worth it and the entire interview experience was just greaaaattttt. This is definitely a company to look out for if you are not just looking for atypical job but a family of like minded people who are very kind and caring to each other.
