I received an email the morning after applying for the Branch Manager position. The email was to schedule a time for a phone interview with an HR representative. I had my phone interview within a few days for the Branch Manger position. During the interview the HR representative asked me questions about my previous supervising experience and my style of work. At the end of the interview she explained that her thoughts were I have supervising experience and not enough bank experience to move on in this position. She then explained they are currently hiring for a Personal Banker in two locations in my area. She explained I would be a great candidate for this position and there was no need to go through the phone interview process again. She explained when, where, and who the interview would be with. She explained the style of the interview process being like a panel interview in front of more than one individual. She then explained all I need to do is apply for this position on their website and she will schedule me for the interview for a Personal Banker. Two days later I received an email from her explaining they would not be considering me for an interview for the Personal Banker position. I replied to her email asking for clarification and never got a response back.
