A while ago, I went through what I think was a 2-step interview process. Met with the recruiter first then moved forward to meet with the leadership person that I would be supporting. I felt I did well and had a chance, all for them to tell me they ended up hiring someone from within. Complete waste of my time and hopes.

I applied online. I interviewed at KeyBank (New York, NY) in Oct 2017
Interview
I was scheduled for a phone interview and had to nudge the recruiter via email to see if the timing still worked. She was more than 15 mins late and called after receiving my email. She did not acknowledge or apologize for being late. Then she claimed I didn't provide my resume when applying and it was clear she was completely unprepared. She proceeded with customary robotic HR questions, instead of having a real conversation with a very experienced candidate. This type of process is a waste of a good candidate's time and they, clearly, are not a fit for me.
