The process took 1 day. I interviewed at KeyBank (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2009
Interview
The interview was typical, but you need to be prepared to answer some (I now understand) typical questions sometimes asked by an interviewer, such as "Describe to me a difficult situation you encountered in a former workplace, and how you were able to coordinate efforts with your co-workers to resolve the diffuculty".

Question 1
Describe a difficult situation you have faced at a former employer, and what steps you and your co-workers took to overcome the difficulty?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at KeyBank (Portland, OR) in Apr 2025
Interview
The recruiter did not sound interested throughout the whole interview and asked borderline offensive questions. A little background: I was unemployed for a while due to layoffs. I guess the recruiter did not like the fact that there were gaps in my work history and asked me if I am still unemployed? How would I support myself financially if I weren't employed? What am I trying to get out of being a teller? Is this really appropriate for a phone screening? I got a rejection a week after the phone interview.

Question 1
Are you currently employed? Please explain the gaps on your resume.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at KeyBank (Cincinnati, OH) in Jun 2023
Interview
One in person interview with hiring manager. Asks a multitude of questions regarding my banking experience, customer service experience, handling confidentiality, etc. Situational questions regarding disgruntled customers. Handling working relationship questions as well.

Question 1
How would you handle confidential costumer information.
Phone call with recruiter shortly after applying (about 3 days), meeting with supervisor about a week later. Job offered that day over the phone and started the next week. Pretty straightforward the entire way
