I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Kiddie Academy (Crystal Lake, IL) in Feb 2013
Interview
Filled out an application online from the center's website. Didn't hear anything from them until over a month later (center wasn't even open yet, though). Had interview within a week. Was pretty normal interview; asked about experience, how I deal with children misbehaving, what makes for a positive classroom atmosphere, etc. Got a call with job offer within a week and a half after the interview. Delays in construction and DCFS requirements caused the job to start two months later.

Question 1
Can't remember there being any difficult or unexpected questions...it was a pretty standard interview that went well.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kiddie Academy (Ashburn, VA)
Interview
This was a last-minute interview, very rushed, and I experienced interruptions from staff and families. I wished I had the opportunity to tour the school and/or meet potential colleagues. Asks common childcare interviewing questions.

Question 1
Tell us about your experience working with children.
So un professional
If ZERO was an option trust me I would!
This was the WORST place I’ve ever worked at. From the owner to the so called “mangment” there. I’ve even had friends who have worked at a “kiddie academy” and let’s just say There ALL the same!!!
But at this one specifically the mangers would talk so horribly to each other and call each other names, cuss at each other and make fun of each other like their BFF (don’t get me wrong that’s normal for friends but on a professional level it is down right cringe )
I should have listen to my gut feeling TO RUN durning the interview- durning the interview they were so un professional and called each other the B-word and then told me “that’s just how we talk to each other “
When I gave them the SHOCKED face…..
Thank God I got out when I did
This is not a good place for any child to be in or parent to be in.
They miss treat the teacher, classroom are ALWAYS out of ratio but they don’t get caught because once licensing comes they QUICKLY put teachers in classrooms to make sure their not out of ratio and then once their gone it’s back to being out of ratio….and they tell them “iTs A nO GoSsiPiNG zOnE” but the freaking MANGERS will gossip and create lyes behind you back!!! They don’t respect anyone but themselves!
Hands down the worst child care facility and unprofessional facility I’ve EVER been in.
Not to mention the BUGS everywhere!
In the kitchen, class rooms….. I’ve even called licensing on this multiple times and the place still isn’t shut down?!? Hmmmm
I applied online. I interviewed at Kiddie Academy (Pflugerville, TX)
Interview
I had to bring in my driver licenses, social security card, and college degree to the interview. My interview lasted about an hour (I had a bunch of questions). Director was knowledgeable and easy to talk to.
