standard process. Screening with HR followed by take home assignment and Behavioral round. Had technical round with team and heard back from HR that everything looks good and just need to do team aligning. However, after a week, received an email that they are no longer moving forward with my candidacy. It was pretty strange considering HR person literally told me he received all positive feedback and only thing left was team matching.
I wish they would have checked their immediate needs and requirement for role before letting me go through the entire process. Should respect candidate's time and efforts.

regular stuff. Take away assignment and pair programming on enhancing the features. General HR questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Kin Insurance in Jan 2021
Interview
Very informative but was overall very misleading. It started out with a one on one call with the hiring manager, where he gave the rundown on the company's background, tech stacks, and how the teams operate amongst one another. Then came the coding exam, which had nothing to do with the duties of the actual job title.

Question 1
Basic culture questions were asked which was the only easy part. When the coding exam was handed out, little did I know it was based on algorithms of sorting data and not a single front-end specific question was on the exam. Perhaps the incorrect exam was given to me (which would indicate a red flag on organization) or they were just conducting fake interviews who knows.
