The interview process felt quite fragmented across the recruiter, hiring manager, and peer interview stages.
The hiring manager (based at HQ) asked thoughtful questions and shared a strong high-level vision for the role. However, there wasn’t enough context provided around the current GTM structure, regional dynamics, or expectations of the role, which made it difficult to fully understand how the position operates in practice.
In the subsequent peer interview, the experience was unfortunately very different. The interviewer came across as antagonistic and uncalibrated in their questioning style, with little structure or engagement in the conversation. I was also interrupted several times while responding- something I’ve never experienced in an interview before, which made the interaction feel unprofessional and uncomfortable.
After the process, I later learned there may be territory changes impacting the peer manager role, which may explain some of the tension during the interview.
Overall, the process would benefit from better interviewer calibration, clearer context-setting for candidates, and a more consistent interview experience across stages.
