      Interview

I applied for the Business Development Representative role at Klaviyo and was invited to a first-round interview with a recruiter. The interview was scheduled for 30 minutes via Zoom. On the day of the interview, after confirming my attendance, I realised I had still not received a Zoom link. I reached out via email to clarify, and the recruiter initially responded, suggesting that the link should be in my calendar or invitation. I explained that I had only received a confirmation email stating the meeting had been booked, but no actual meeting link, and asked if they could check or share it directly. After this brief exchange (which lasted a couple of minutes), I never received another response, and the interview never took place. There was no follow-up or explanation from the recruiter. Overall, the lack of communication and follow-through made for a disappointing experience. Candidates invest time and effort into the hiring process, and basic professionalism—such as ensuring interview logistics are in place—should be a given.
