I applied online. I interviewed at Kohl's (Milpitas, CA) in Mar 2017
Interview
I had one round at my college, followed by 2 rounds at the Milpitas office. Although I was told by the HR that the college round would be non-technical, it turned out to be a technical one. I was interviewed by a senior software engineer for around 45 minutes
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Removing middle elements of linked lists, questions related to java garbage collection, memory management etc. The interview was not that difficult. The 2 rounds at the workplace were fairly easy. I was asked about my projects and background, which led to a design pattern question in the end(Singleton). My interviewers seemed pretty chill and welcoming.
Went to career fair, got a call back 1.5 weeks later for an interview, was a 30 minute behavioral with a senior SWE with no leetcode/technicals. 2-3 weeks later, I got a phone call from HR confirming my offer
Recruited at a job fair and then contacted for a meeting over Google Meets. Chatted with a software engineer for thirty minutes about both behavioral and technical questions. Resume deep dive.
