I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kohl's (Exton, PA) in Jun 2011
Interview
The whole process began when I went into my local Kohl's and asked if they were hiring. Luckily, they were, and the customer service associate kindly gave me a paper application. After a week or so, I received a phone call about an interview. My interview date came, and thanks to Glassdoor.com, I was prepared for it to be a group interview. I sat down with 5 other applicants in the store's Break room. Then, the HR manager began the questioning. Just like everyone says, it's the usual interview questions like, "What would you do to help a customer find an item?, What if we did not have the item in store?, Describe a time when you went above and beyond for a customer." We all had to answer, but luckily, we each had a turn to answer the question first that way there was not just one person at the end of the line summarizing what the rest of us had already said. It was quite a fair interview. After the short interview, I received another phone call from Admin talking about orientation. Orientation meant I had the job, and I was a new Kohl's POS associate.

Question 1
No difficult questions. Just get creative. Think if you were the Interviewer. What would you be looking for? What keywords? Overall though, just stay honest and be yourself. If your respectful and smiling, no difficult question will stump you.
I applied online. I interviewed at Kohl's (Austin, TX)
Interview
I had a remotely easy interview process that went pretty quick. They asked the average questions, but the pay was not the best so I did not go with them.

Question 1
Can you name a time you had to show good teamwork?
scheduled Zoom interview TWICE and both times, I waited in appropriate "room" and no one from Kohls "showed up". I even called the local store and asked if I should keep waiting, who ever answered checked and they said yes, they will be right with you. I waited over 30 minutes each time.

I applied online. I interviewed at Kohl's (Fort Smith, AR) in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview was completely online, and I spoke with someone from HR. The interview was incredibly short and lacked much substance. The interview consisted of basic questions about when I would be available, but also included a personal question about going out of my way to help somone. All in all, it was a horrible experience.
