For second round, they took us on a "tour" of Milwaukee. Basically we went on a bus while it drove around and we were expected to know what we were passing based on a list they gave us. There was no instruction on what we were passing, even though one of those places was where we would live if we got the internship. I would've liked a little heads up into what I would be signing up for. After a dinner with some of the employees, we returned to the hotel. The next day we had the interview and a tour of the building.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What department would you be interested in and why?
I applied online. I interviewed at Kohl's (Hixon, TN) in Sep 2024
Interview
Very simple and easy. It was a set up virtual interview with the store manager. He asked basic questions and told me to be there the next day for orientation
Very thorough interpersonal interview questions. Asked how you worked in a team and how well you can deal with conflict. Asked how you communicate with customers and how you can deal with difficult customers.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Kohl's (Chattanooga, TN) in Jan 2020
Interview
Overall a very nice and helpful staff. The interview was supposed to be a group interview but I was the only one to show up. So we got started later than I would have liked. The interviewer was laid back and easy to talk to. I would have accepted the job had it not been for the very low wage and the lack of opportunity to raise that wage.
