One of my friends is in the MAT program at Kohl's, and since I do not go to one of the target schools they recruit at, I was referred to an HR rep through her. I was invited to do a HireVue interview online that consisted of 5 questions that were a mix of situational and behavioral. I thought I did really bad because the questions were pretty hard, but I heard back about a week later that I had been invited to the final round. The final round was initially scheduled for the first week of November, but was moved to the first week of December which ultimately impacted my decision. For the final round, Kohl's flew me out to Milwaukee and put all of those interviewing that didn't live close by in the Hilton in Downtown Milwaukee. Unfortunately, I was not able to see any of Milwaukee because I got in late, but I know some people were able to explore the city and get dinner nearby.
The next day, they drive you to the HQ in Menonmenee Falls and have two rounds of the process. Half of the group is taken on a tour of the building, listen to a panel of current MAT employees, and then there is a benefits panel, while the other half goes to interviews. The interviews were with 3 people, and they asked mostly behavioral questions. After that, the groups come back together and get split up again for a group case analysis. Mine was about a pop-up shop. We had to work with a group and present a recommendation. The interview was on Friday, and on Monday I received a call with an offer. I had two offers on the table with similar companies, but ultimately decided to work with a different company in a similar position because it was closer to home.
