I submitted a paper application in person and was told that it could be a few days since they did group interviews. A couple days later I was called to come in for an interview. I spent a lot of time online and especially here on Glassdoor reviewing what the interview process was like and going over expected questions.
I arrived on time and waited a few minutes until the other interviewees arrived and then the manager came to take us into a small room. She explained that she was the assistant manager, and seemed very warm and approachable.
She told us that we'd take turns answering questions and it was ok if we said the same thing as someone else. Then we all introduced ourselves.
I think everyone did a good job of answering the questions, except for a guy who was applying to work freight.
Questions:
an example of when you were flexible
an example of when you went above and beyond
what is customer service to you
We were allowed to ask questions at the end, and mainly asked about the shift length and hours. She told us that we would all be called next week, and then we'd have to come in to fill out paperwork. I was never called , and called TWICE and talked with the same woman. Both times she promised to get hold of her hiring manager and get back to me on the result, but she never did. This left a very negative taste in my mouth, as I know I did well in the interview, I am very qualified, and their communication is lousy.
