The interview process at Kohl's isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I applied online at SnagAJob and got a call for a group interview in about a week. I went to the group interview looking presentable and found myself in a room with about 9 women and the male Store Manager that interviewed us. I was the only male, which I feel sort of worked in my advantage as it made me stick out from the bunch at the start. He asked the basic questions that everyone else is supplying on here. What ifs, past experiences, customer service this and that. I answered very well in comparison to some of the ladies there who honestly went on way too long. Keep your answers concise and to the point. When the interview was over everybody left and shook the Managers hand on the way out who had previously announced that we would get a call for a second interview if we made it that far or a letter in the mail saying that we didn't get it. Less than a week goes by and I get a call for a second interview. The second interview was a 1 on 1 with the Store Manager. He asked a couple more "standard issue" retail questions and a couple personal ones. We laughed a bit and made jokes so I felt that I really resonated with him and confidently walked out of the interview after signing some papers and providing some good references. About a week later I get a call to come in for orientation. The orientation was about 4 hours where they explained everything about the company and what to expect from our jobs. After that was computer training and some floor training. Now I'm an official Kohl's POS.
