      Copywriter Interview

      Mar 16, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Irvine, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Kore1 (Irvine, CA) in Mar 2022

      Interview

An agent from Kore1 contacted me about a job. Had a zoom job interview with an accounting software company. Was asked to do a writing test and given a date to hand it in. Handed it in before it was due, only to find out a candidate had already been selected four days before. Unprofessional process by the agent and the hiring company--an exploitative experience caused by a lack of communication. If a company wants a personal sample of writing or designing for one of their products, they should hire the talent on a freelance project and pay them for their work. That would be fair to all.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

It's not the questions, it's the lack of communication during the interview process and not staying in touch with the potential client to find out what they are doing in the process. Also not relaying vital information to the candidate.
