I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Bellefontaine, OH) in Jul 2016
Interview
I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed, but the girl didn't come and get me until 10 minutes after the scheduled time of the interview. Then when we get started she proceeds to tell me that she has none of my information. She didn't even know what position I was applying for. And then tells me that they gave the job to an employee who transferred there.
I was very discouraged about all of it and felt that the girl had no idea what she was doing. And a little upset by it because of the unprofessionalism.
But, the next day the store manager calls me and tells me she wants to offer me the job and told me about all of the options I would have when I got done with my training. Had it not been for the store manager and how nice and helpful she was this would have been a very negative review.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a situation in which you felt satisfied with your job and one where you didn't. And why?
The entire process of setting up the interview was unprofessional. I missed the first call, so I called back. They answered and said, “Oh yes, umm,” and then I heard silence for one minute. I asked how their day was going and they cut the call. (Weird..) I called back 5 minutes later.. and then the entire call required ME to carry the conversation and ask about scheduling the interview that they wanted me to do.
I call the day before the interview the confirm that the pharmacist still knows I’m coming. The person says they’ll leave a note for someone else to call me THE DAY OF to see if it’s “still okay.” Next day, I receive no call. I call and say I was supposed to receive a call. The pharmacist answers and says I can come today, but suggests a different time.
I go in and do my best with the part time position interview. No issues except for the fact that the pharmacist asked odd questions that went on for 5 minutes to where you don’t even know what the main question is anymore. I get told that I will hear back in a FEW WEEKS. (For a busy store that needs help? Okay.)
Received an email that they’re moving forward at this time. No offer.
I was very gracious with everything that happened, but now this is ridiculous.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A bunch of rambling with big words that the pharmacist can’t even use correctly.
Applied online, got a phone call after a few days to schedule an interview. Time between application and first day was about two weeks because it was difficult to get a hold of the managers.

Question 1
Tell us about a recent time when you did something kind for someone where they did not ask and you did not get anything in return.
I applied online. I interviewed at Kroger (Dallas, TX)
Interview
It was quick, and easy. I had a friendly phone interviewer then proceeded to an in-person review with my former boss. It was a painless process, and many people I interacted with were very kind.
