Interview
I received both an email and voicemail acknowledging my application and was requested to call a number to answer further questions. I was asked to verify a few contact information, what hours I can work, and why I want the position. Then, I received a call from the hiring manager who invited me in for an interview, during which she inquired further about my availability, my purpose for applying, what I can offer to help better the store, and my shirt size for the uniform. She warned me that I'd receive a call giving me a day and time to come in, which I did two days later. I walked in and received my blue shirt and black Kroger apron (this was prior to the recent unform changes in May 2019), my temporary nametag, and walked with another new hire during our tour of the store and being informed about our opportunities. The rest of the day and the next day was finishing online training and bagging. At this point, you become a probationary employee (60 days). I am now an official employee.

The interview process includes application review, initial screening, one or more interviews (phone, video, or in-person), skill assessments, reference checks, and finally, a job offer or rejection notification. It was great.

The job interview was really simple and straightforward. The employer asked me a couple of personal questions and my past experiences. It was during my high school years and I didn’t have much experience.
