I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at L.L. Bean (Columbus, OH) in Oct 2022
Interview
This was a very chill interview. The manager was super friendly, one-on-one interview, lasted about 30 minutes. She seemed to be interested in me as a person, and most of the questions were "just getting to know you" questions. She hired me on the spot.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at L.L. Bean (Wareham, MA) in Sep 2017
Interview
Description of employment. Expectations. Discussion of company policies. Likelihood of being hired after seasonal employment. Half truths and misinformation which in essence served the purpose of meeting budgets of emptying boxes and sweat shopping inventory to meet the personal goals of managers with 6th grade education and no appreciation for an individual’s quality of life.

Interview
I was interviewed with one other person in a tiny office. It was relaxed and went well, but it was strange to be going through it was a complete stranger who was also applying. It did not feel intimidating at all. The interviewer was very nice and I appreciated her flexible questions. She seemed to have a specified set of possible things to ask and comfortably moved through them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked the typical questions for retail. One questions that was fun was we were shown a group of items and asked to choose one and them try to sell it. The last question was asked in private, without the other person. They told me I could have the job if I wanted it, but it only paid about $9/hour. I was really surprised it didn't pay more.
