I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at L3Harris in Sep 2018
Interview
I had an interview with employees at L3Harris at my school. Afterwards, I was invited to an on-site interview. The interview was made up of 3 rounds, each lasting about 15 minutes or so. Questions were a mix of behavioral and technical
Technical part - describe coursework and school projects. What's the difference between an abstract class and an interface? What does abstract/virtual mean?
Horrible recruiter with slow responses. She didn't let me finish answering her questions, and was quick to move on with the interview. A while later, she said the hiring manager wanted to speak with me, and asked for my availability. I responded with my availability and asked for a time. She never responded and ghosted me. Now my application says it's no longer under consideration.
Got invited to a hiring event in El Segundo . You had your register via email to get invited to this event. Once at the event scan a QR code and wait outside in the lobby area to be called.
The format of the interview can vary a bit by department. The whole process can be long and somewhat repetitive. They look for answers in the STAR format (situation or task, action and result)
