I just went through the screening with the recruiter and that was enough for me. They made a comment that they’ve spoke to a lot of CSMs that managed 50+ accounts (normal) But because other candidates didn’t have a smaller book of business they actually weren’t really CSMs, they were “Support”. Which I really rolled my eyes at. So clearly they have no idea what the scope of a CSM can be. My other red flag was being told that any Remote work is “eArNeD” and not given. That gave me a huge ick. Treat people like adults maybe? And finally, they spent like 10 minutes asking me questions about why I didn’t just wait to be laid off instead of quitting when I did - which I don’t think is a big deal and…I don’t have a crystal ball. Just a frustrating interaction all around, I’m sure that’s not the general experience but it bothered me enough to write about it here.
