I applied online. I interviewed at Labatt Food Service (San Antonio, TX) in Jul 2018
Interview
I applied online, received a phone call from HR soon after to set up a phone interview. Once HR and I were on the phone, it was obvious she was reading from a checklist, and didn't have much interest or care in actually getting to know a candidate. I rated the interview as "difficult" not because of the questions, but because of the pain sitting through a checklist and being treated like I was inadequate alltogether. I get that this is just a phone screening process, but my overall experience is best explained by this metaphor: Be prepared to feel like you're in middle school, and you're talking to the popular kid who bullies everyone into feeling incompetent. You'll leave the phone call wondering if that's the culture they have in their office with their own employees, and be grateful you didn't get a call back.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
She went down a list of questions regarding my resume and positions I had over the years. It was SILENT after I answered. She didn't make much of an effort to even pretend like she was interested in me as a candidate.
