Interview
after phone interview, scheduling on site interview consisting of 1 hr presentation, meeting with several persons 1:1 for 30 minutes, and wrapping up the interview with a few staffs in the group at the end.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Lawrence Berkeley Lab (Berkeley, CA) in Jan 2025
Interview
The interview process had two parts. First, a 30 minute video call and second the onsite interview with the whole team. The first interview required answering pre-determined questions that all applicants get asked to create fairness in the first phase. These questions took up the whole time, I had little opportunity to ask questions. The onsite interview was 2 hours with 30 minute rounds with different groups.

Question 1
The asked many questions of me, all were job specific and attempting to understand how my background matched their needs in the lab, as defined in the job posting.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lawrence Berkeley Lab (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2022
Interview
It was really good experience. I learned a-lot about company. It was more of behavioural questions. There were some technical and lab safety questions too. It was a great experience overall.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Lawrence Berkeley Lab in Apr 2015
Interview
I applied online and got onsite interview after 3 weeks. The PI and his postdoc introduced the project I will be involved in and then asked about my background and some very specific technique questions. They also showed me around in the lab. The whole process was more likely a scientific conversation/discussion than a regular job interview.
