Initial call with one of their recruiters, then a hiring manager. Then a live coding exercise which was laughably pointless for a position at this level.
After that a 3 hour block of interviews with [apparently I'm not allowed to even mention what the people who interviewed me do or this review gets rejected, even though that's incredibly relevant information for someone reading this to see what to expect from the process]
Despite nothing but positive feedback, including some direct quotes from the last person I interviewed with about what a great culture fit I'd be and my great responses to questions about mentorship and leadership, I was suddenly told, "Specifically the team is looking for a candidate with strong mentor-ship skills and culturally aligns with LeafLink."
It's going to take a while to recover from the whiplash on that sudden 180.
Save your time and interview elsewhere, as you'll invest far more time than the industry average into this place and in the end the result is seemingly unrelated to any of the feedback you've received or your own perceptions of how it went.
They're either incredibly fickle and capricious, or else they're very good at lying through their teeth; either they have no idea what they're doing or they're completely full of crap, which is it? There's no good answer to that question.
