I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at LegalZoom (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2021
Interview
Company HR called me about the position they had and asked me if I was interested and the interview got scheduled.
Till HR part and scheduling process it was great but the interviewer apparently engineering director was unaware that the company he works for is looking to increase headcount for anticipated work and kept asking in a tone that why you are so "desperate to work for Legalzoom" maybe he was giving me hint to look somewhere else in a subtle manner I do not know. I tried to ignore the tone and was diplomatic but the director didn't stop just there and started asking if I was working for a consulting firm as a job shop and was working for different companies and I could not fathom how any of this was anyway related to the requirement they had at legal zoom for a principal engineer position that is where I drew the line and decided I can never work in an environment where someone who is an engineering director can talk like that and blew up the interview intentionally.
