Interview
Was already working for DRS in Florida for 3 years when a Field Service Position opened up at an off site location. Policy was if you wanted to make a move from one department to another you had to notify your manager prior to beginning the process ,doesn't mean you'll get the job and will show your current manager you want out of there department. Had to "accidentally" leave resume with hiring manager because of this or current job could be in jeopardy. Once I was officially, unofficially told I would get the position I was told to go public with my intentions. At the time I made $13.00 an hour, starting pay was $25.00 an hour, HR felt that was too much of a jump in pay (which I would have been offered had I walked in off the street) so they dropped in down to $20 an hour, Take it or leave it. Pretty much took it and ran.
