I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance (Seattle, WA) in Dec 2014
Interview
Applied online and within two weeks I was contacted to do a phone interview with an actuary. The phone interview lasted about 45 minutes, and was mostly questions about my resume and how/why I decided to pursue a career as an actuary. After about another week, I was asked to come in for an on-site interview.
Myself and two other candidates went to an introductory presentation about the company in the morning where we were asked to write a paragraph about why we were interested in the opportunity, and then we cycled through four 1-hour interviews with actuaries throughout the day. It seemed as though interviewers had picked questions out of a question bank of general, behavioral interview questions. Two actuarial students were assigned to guide me around the building between interviews and take me to lunch.

Interview
Standard interview process with phone screen and final round interviews. Recruiter was very responsive and helpful in setting up the software for the virtual interview. Interviewers were very engaged and respectful.

I went to boston, did not get. behavioral type questions. three interviews with beginning intro with others applying. Very nice people, all actuaries. asked me about myself first, then behavioral, then went through a series of insurance related scenarios and had to rank each one according to my thoughts and explain after regarding my selection and thought process.
