Received an unexpected call from a recruiter who found my resume and wanted to discuss my level of interest. I described by qualifications and high interest then she explained more details about the scope of the role. I then received an email from a coordinator to setup a phone interview with a regional manager.
My phone interview started 15 minutes late, but I was warned via email of the delay, but I was told the interview would only take about 15 minutes. The manager asked me to explain my career choices thus far and how I would manage my team. From that call I received an email from a different hiring coordinator with an "exercise" to create a launch strategy for LimeBike in Memphis. I found this exercise very unusual and aggressive since I'm basically providing free work.
I completed and submitted a presentation with my market sizing analysis and launch plan, but never received a response with either the regional manager or the coordinator. I sent follow-up emails in the days after seeking any response about my status or even acknowledgement of them reviewing my work....silence.
