I was approached by a recruiter for this role. I applied to it and afterwards a coding challenge was sent which consisted of 2 easy questions (one very easy and one medium easy question). After completing that, the recruiter reached out to schedule a phone call, where we discussed about interview dates, internship dates, any interests in specific teams in the LinkedIn back-end. The interviews (one technical and one behavioral) were then scheduled back to back. First up was the technical interview, which consisted of two medium level questions in an hour. First of the two questions was solved in a sub-optimal way and the second one in an optimal way. The interview experience was greatly enjoyable even with the hiccups I encountered with the first question. The interviewer was understanding and interested in answering questions I had afterwards. The second interview lasted 45 mins and consisted of behavioral questions. The interviewer tried to make it stress free by relating to my personal experience and appreciating honest answers. Within a week's time, a manager was interested and scheduled a phone call to have a chat. She was candid about the role and shared her passion, resources and also tried to measure if the role was a good fit for me. It felt like she was pitching her team to me rather than testing to see if I was worthy of the role. The role and team piqued my interest so I connected with her on LinkedIn and conversed through that. Within 2 - 3 days an official offer was extended and that concluded the interview process.
