I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at LiveRamp in Oct 2019
Interview
A recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn and I told him that the role does not fit my profile but he insisted for me to talk to the manager. I had a 1-hour phone interview with a manager. They responded back in a few days that my profile does not match the role so they are referring me to another team. I started talking to another recruiter, spend another 30 minutes on a call. She said because I already talked to the manager and have a good profile they will skip the coding challenge and she will schedule the call with another manager. But sent me an email in a few days and asked to finish the coding challenge. Again she insisted to finish it "asap", so that we can move fast. I submitted my solution and she responded in a few minutes and told me that I did "great".
I did not hear back from the recruiter for a few days. I followed up she said she will get back to me. It is been more than a month and I haven't hear back from her.
After two 30 minute recuiter calls, one 60 minute manager call and one 60 minute coding challenge if they still leave the candidate in limbo, I am pretty sure they will soon struggle to fill their positions.

Interview
I wasn't going to write this out of fear of being blacklisted. But I really do feel like my interview experience was handled unfairly and unprofessionally.
Recruiter reached out to me and we had a conversation about starting the interview process. Started getting some bad signals here as the recruiter seemed to be reading my resume for the first time, and seemed to know nothing about the role that I had applied for. He also constantly made subtle jabs about the city that I lived in.
Told me he was happy to move me forward and that the next round would be a conversation / deep dive into my experiences with the hiring manager. He mentioned that it would not be technical and that I should just be ready to talk about my career history. He made it seem like this was another intro round where the eng manager could better evaluate if I'd be a good fit for the team.
Next round comes and i'm immediately hit with a coding question and no deep dives of my career, which is what I had prepped for. I had not done any leetcode studying due to being occupied at work and believing what the recruiter had told me.
Emailed the recruiter about the situation and asked if I could re-interview. He said he'll see what he can do. It's been about a week and at this point i'm just assuming he's not owning up to his mistake and decided to ghost me.
Terrible candidate experience especially because I actually wanted to work here and enjoyed my session with the eng manager.
