First round was supposed to be a recruiter call who would analyze your experience. Then hiring manager call. Then an onsite (5-6 hour ) with different panelist that includes a 1 hr presenation about your past experience that maybe related to job.
The recrutier was all over the place, my first round never happened and I got a call from hiring manager directly. Then i was told i was rejected. Then i get a notification that the company is moving forward and my interview with hiring team will be in 2 hours which was another 1 hr call asking about my past experience where a manager leading the team spoke to me. I was then rescheduled few times for the final round.
They were not too interested in my work and asked general question, then coding question in c++ or python (signed NDA ) but be comfortable in the language you choose.

Difficult interview
Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lucid Motors (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2025
Interview
An HR recruiter reached out to me over the phone first to schedule the meeting/interview with an engineer. In the interview process, I was asked a series of six engineering questions. The questions were focused on sheet loss under normal engine conditions efficiency loss, SIMULINK principles and power transfer in a car. Even though the topics were engineering related the way that the question was formed was to test how I can explain those topics.

Interview
1. Call with recruiter where he surprisingly asked some basic engineering equations - Young's modulus, Ohm's Law, Electrical Power, Hooke's Law.
2. Second call with hiring manager where we went through work experience, nothing outside of that.
3. Panel interview with presentation. 10min presentation followed by questions. 4 panels with 2 interviewers in each panel. Full technical questions ranging from background to scenarios they are working on.
All interviewers were very friendly. They are very in depth, which is good.
