I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2024
Interview
My interview experience with Lyft was nothing short of a nightmare. The interviewer showed up a whopping 10 minutes late without a hint of remorse or apology. As if that wasn't enough, she spent the next few minutes fumbling with her camera and adjusting herself, showing a complete lack of preparedness and professionalism.
Once the interview finally started, it became painfully clear that the interviewer had no interest in being there. She sat back in her chair with an air of arrogance, as if she was doing me a favor by gracing me with her presence. Throughout the entire round, she couldn't even muster a single apology for her continuous yawnings, which made it nearly impossible for me to focus.
Her lack of attention was palpable, as she asked the same mundane questions over and over again. It was abundantly clear that she couldn't care less about what I had to say.
This experience left me utterly disheartened and disgusted. I had hoped to find a supportive and collaborative environment at Lyft, but instead, I was met with disrespect and disdain.
Encountering such a toxic individual has made me seriously question whether I would even want to be associated with a company that tolerates such behavior. Experiencing this kind of treatment by Lyft for prospective employees, I made up my mind to drop.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (New York, NY) in Apr 2024
Interview
They took all rounds (including a post interview director round), all rounds went well, and then, after ghosting me for a week, recruiter finally replied to my email saying that the job requirements have changed and they need to restart the process.
Pathetic experience, they don;t know what they are doing. I will never interview with lyft again, they have no value for other's time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lyft (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2020
Interview
Applied online. Received email from recruiter. Phone screen with recruiter, went well. Phone screen with hiring manager, went well. Onsite scheduled with multiple people. However, I canceled because my situation changed and could no longer relocate for the position. Everyone was awesome, from the recruiter, to the recruiting coordinator, to the hiring manager I spoke to. They all were friendly, seemed intelligent, and like they would be pleasant to work with. The role also sounded super interesting. Personal circumstances made me withdraw, unfortunately. Super bummed.
