I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at MAERSK in May 2023
Interview
I applied to the position (in Denmark) on March 30. The recruiter (in the UK) contacted me on May 15, which feels late based on my experience within technology recruitment. Even worse, the recruiter wanted to book the interview on May 24 which added 9 more days to the process. So, almost a full month of wait just for the first interview, which sounds like 90s rather than present. Very lousy interview, and the interviewer didn't even bother to turn on his camera. Besides, the interviewer gave many different signs that he did not read my resume well, nor he was aware of what exact position I applied to (there were two similar vacant positions in different levels, and he kept referring my application to the wrong vacancy). Cliché questions around my experience, and vague answers to my questions about the existing teams and challenges. At the end of the interview, I was told that they would inform me about the result by the end of the week, but the result came on June 8, so more than 2 weeks later. So, my process started in late March, and ended early June, which is terribly slow, and in between I have not received any communication, or any effort to keep me warm, as we would say within candidate experience. I am so sorry to see that one of the best companies of Denmark is doing so poorly in terms of recruitment.
