I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MITRE (Bedford, MA) in Dec 2015
Interview
Little more involved than a typical interview where I went through what you would expect which would be speaking to people regarding experience, technical knowledge, etc. I did speak to six people on my interview, plus having to prepare a twenty-minute presentation as well to a room full of people.
Very intense, on-site, day-long process. They ask you to do a 30 minute presentation on a technical topic of your choice. You meet with multiple interview panels, often from different departments, so the questions are likely to overlap.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you set up threat intelligence sharing for a new team?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MITRE in Aug 2015
Interview
1. Phone screen - 1.5 hour call answering various career interest and background questions
2. Onsite. Interview with HR; present topic of my choice for 15 mins to panel of approx. 10 people arranged in-person, via video conference and on a phone bridge followed by questions. 3. Three 30 minute interviews with 2 people per interview. The company covered traveled expenses which was very generous.
3. Phone interview with several individuals
Questions included my thoughts on cyber security challenges, inquiries about my experience listed on my resume and my exposure to various cyber security technologies. The interviewers were professional, organized and intelligent. I was extended an offer but declined due to the compensation. I had a highly favorable interview process and recommend this company to any interested candidates!
