I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at MSCI (Mumbai) in Dec 2020
Interview
I had total of 4 rounds of interviews (3 with hiring manager and manager's manager, final cultural fit interview with India HR head). The whole process lasted about 3 months.
The junior recruiting HRs are very prompt and swift. As you start interacting with senior HR recruiter / managers especially on comp matters, you notice how slow and smart they can be.
A former colleague of mine applying for same level had to go through an assessment of building a report of sorts, which was strange at his level.

Question 1
I was applying for a role in product organisation, this is pretty niche role, not that many exists in India at this point and they did grill me well. I was told they were looking to hire for this role in India, Singapore or NY, this was truly a global role. The organisation is very global.
Questions were mostly on what I have done and what I am doing. How I handled certain situations, why change company those sorts. It was fairly general but intense and tricky. What I was doing matched but not completely, so they wanted to be sure, which is fair.
I was interviewed by folks in London, NY and an English expect based in Singapore. These guys are very smart and leaders of sorts in the industry, have articles and speeches of them all over internet.
It was a truly delightful to be able to interact with these guys, and be able to made an offer for a global role in India. It felt good when I got the call from HR. They know their stuff really well, so be prepared!

Six rounds of interviews, I think it feels excessive for a mid-managerial position. Maybe it’s meant to spread out the decision but it’s a huge investment of time for the candidate. 3-4 should be more than enough for VP level.
Very comfortable interviewer was polite but asked the right questions including technical ones . Had 3 interviews. The Talent acquisition team can however be unresponsive at times on status updates A lot of interviewing was based on technical knowledge
