The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (Ashland, VA) in Aug 2011
Interview
Filled an application for Macy's online. I received a called about 5 days later and set up an interview to take place 3 days later. I met with the person who was conducting the interview and she seem to be nice. She first asked me to give some background on myself and what bring me to Macy's. She the asked some questions that took the whole interview process about less that 30 mins. During the interview I noticed that her eyes were wondering around the office. At the end she asked if I have any questions, I asked " what qualities would make a good candidate here?", she basically talks about sales. After she said that I was thinking to myself I gave a good personality on leadership and accountability. When I left the interview I kind of knew I wasn't going to be picked for the job. I received a rejection letter the same day of the interview..The first tome I have not felt good about an interview! The questions were kind of complex to me personally. What do yall think??

Question 1
What qualities from your recent employer have you learned that you are proud of??
Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.
The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
