The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (Fort Collins, CO) in Jun 2009
Interview
I applied on-line and got an e-mail that they were interested in interviewing me. I had to log back into the career site to say I was interested in interviewing. The actual interview was a little odd. I walked around the store with one of the managers. She asked basic behavioral questions, "tell me about a time when...", where I see my self in 5 years, overall very standard questions. After all of the questions had been asked she went over exactly what the duties of the job were, what was expected of me (working black Friday and more hours during the holidays), the pay of the position. After she asked if it was sill something I was interested and and basically offered me the position at the end of the interview. I heard back the next day to officially offer me the position. Overall a farily easy interview just weird to do it walking around, I almost ran into a rack of clothing during mine.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to work as a team to solve a problem.
Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.
The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
