Interview
After completing 2 phone interviews for a virtual position and told that I was going to be chosen for the project things went quiet. I waited a week while they conducted background, credit and reference checks (all which were positive). When these checks were completed I followed back up with my point of contact and was told that I would hear from them in the next day regarding next steps (the project was to start within a week or so). Two days later I received a call that they weren't moving forward with me because the project had been downgraded (and they apparently hadn't "officially" signed the client) and they would be using internal resources, but they were actively seeking a new role for me. Again, I waited a week and followed up regarding any updates. My call was never returned.
